Kids Can’t Use Computers… And This Is Why It Should Worry You (kidz as in mid-20’s)
From the blog: If 20 years ago 5% of us had a computer in our homes – then you could pretty much guarantee that 95% of those computer owners were technically literate. Today let’s assume that 95% of us have a computer in our homes, then I would guess that around 5% of owners are technically literate.
Illiterate as in: can use facebook, twitter, pinterest, Word and Excel, and maybe some other pages, and games .

Linux is no good for gaming, you say? I’m sorry; I can’t hear you over the sound of my girlfriend playing Portal on Linux Mint 14 on her Macbook, using an XBox 360 controller. Incidentally, Portal runs faster and more smoothly in Linux than it ever did for her in Mac OS on this same machine. But no surprise there, since Valve is already on record as saying their games run best on Linux.
